Sorry, we are not a credit card company, so we won't be able to help you. If you need to activate your credit card, you should find the website address of the bank in the letter of approval or by means of search engine. Then, visiting the site, you can activate the credit card online, getting registered at the site. If you didn't manage to do it by phone, probably there is some mistake you should clear up in the bank. Do it as soon as possible, to start using your card or cancel it, as you have so many troubles.

I am a homeowner with decent credit. I had a bankruptcy in 2004, but my credit score is over 680. I need to know my options for a good credit card. |

Unfortunately, you can't hope to be approved for a good credit credit card, as you have the negative item in your credit report. So the only option of yours can be a bad credit card application, which will help you to build a better credit score, and in future, after bancruptcy is charged off, you'll be eligible for a very good credit card, provided you are accurate in payments. So, look through bad credit card applications, choose the one that fits your needs best of all, and fill out the application online. Be ready to pay the bills accurately, to avoid more negative records, and later it will be fine if you apply for a couple of other credit cards of this category. If you are interested to get a big loan, you can choose home equity loan, but you can't use your house as a deposit for your credit card.

If you are looking for Canadian credit cards for bad credit, you won't be able to find them at our site, as we have only good credit cards for Canadians. As far as bad credit cards are concerned, you can apply for one of them if you have a social security number in the United States, that is, if you are a US resident. Please, try to search for a bad credit card via Internet, as some banks offer Canadian credit cards for bad credit. And a bit of advice before you apply: get your credit report before sending an application, to be sure you are eligible for the credit card you want to get.

I applied for a card and then put in the wrong email address. The correct one is listed below. Please send the application approval (or not) to the email address listed above. |

The problem is that our site has nothing to do with considering customers' applications and giving responses to them. We also have no access to your personal information, the bank being the only institution that possesses it. So the first thing you should do is to report about your mistake to the bank - they either can send another approval message to you or inform you of the approval (or disapproval) by phone. We can't help you anyhow, as it is beyond our competence.

what is the site for managing account information? |

The only site where you can access your balance and account, pay your bills and ask any detailed information concerning banking services, is the official site of your bank. You can either go to it using the address given in your statements or on your credit card, or find the address by means of a search engine, or click the link "Apply" by any credit card by this bank which is presented at our site, and you will be redirected to the official site of ths bank. Usually official sites of banks use a special protection system to avoid identity thefts and other crimes related with illegal use of private information.

can you please explain why you have to pay a set-up fee. if that has to be paid why dont you charge it to the card and pay it to you with the other payments. i am a watchdog member and there are scams like this everywhere that are so old everyone knows about them i am low on money which is why i want a credit card in the first place so cant afford to pay the so called set-up fee so i would take a credit card of the set-up fee was charged to it but i dont trust the fact that you need it before you can make the cards when you are supposed to be a SUCCESSFUL business. if you are that successful then you wont mind doing what i have asked. if you dont get back to me or refuse to add the fee to the card then i will know its a con and take it to members of my group. i look forward to yor response

Dear Mr. Ferguson,
the first and foremost thing you should know is that our site's aim is to help people orientate in the mass of credit card offers and help them compare credit cards, choose them and be in the know of the current credit card offers. We do not issue credit cards, that's why we do not set fee and charges for them. As for the reasons why banks require setup fee to be paid, they are simple. When a credit card company approves you for a credit card, there are transactions to be fulfilled and documents to be processed, including inquiry on your credit history. The plastic card itself has its price as well. If you look through credit cards for different credit score, you will see that the higher your score is, the lower the charges are. Giving credit to you, bank takes on risks, and to cover them, it charges payments; as bad credit customer is not as reliable as a good credit customer, he has to pay more, but as his credit rating increases, the terms and charges of credit cards available for him, gets less costly.
If you want to change the terms&conditions of your credit card, you should apply to no one else but the bank, and it will be the bank that decides, whether to satisfy your request or not.

i misplaced the classic prepaid card that was sent to me October 2005 but later found it while sorting somepapers. My question is. Is this card usable? The expiration date is October 2007. |

The first thing you should do is to call your bank and ask about it. As everything depends on the terms&conditions of your credit card. Generally, the card is still usable, as it is the year of 2006 still. However, it may so happen that you should have paid some fees and charges implied by the card, and if they haven't been paid all this time, now there's a significant amount to pay for this card. But, certainly, everything depends on the terms&conditions.

If i know my credit card balance is: $27,000 APR= 16.22%, finance charges are calculated on average daily balance, min payment per month= 1% of bal+finance charge. I am not adding any purchases to this card going forward. How can I amortize what each months payment will be if I only pay the required Min payment until balance is paid off. I assume each months payment will change as payments are made. What will each month over month payment be? Thanks for your help. |

Unfortunately, we cannot help you with this question as our task is mainly to give a detailed information on the best credit cards available, help you compare them by the key points and apply online for a credit card you qualify for. But all the calculations are supposed to be already made in the statement which you get together with your credit card. The minimum monthly payments are registered there up to the expiration date. What's more, you can go to the official site of your bank which might provide a credit calculator service and make all the calculations necessary. Remember, whatsoever, if you have any troubles with your credit card terms and charges, you should always contact your bank as the issuer and term setter for your credit card.

How can I obtain a credit report from all 3 credit agencies? When I find out my scores how will I know if I am likely to qualify for a card or a loan? |
| |
Answers: |
 |
You can have your free credit report at our website. At the top of each page we provided a table of credit rating where you can see the credit score and what type of credit it makes you elegible for:
Excellent Credit - 750-850
Good Credit - 660-749
Fair Credit - 620-659
Bad Credit - 350-619
No Credit - 0
At the bottom of the table there is APPLY NOW button. Click it, and you will get to the reporting centre. Get your trial free credit score. If you want to obtain reports from the three agencies, try to find web sites of Equifax, TransUnion and Experian using a search engine. Check out your score, and apply online for a credit card of the type you qualify for.

IS THERE A NO FEE CREDIT CARD FOR PEOPLE WITH BANKRUPCEYS? |
| |
Answers: |
 |
If you filed for bankruptcy, you credit score is bad, therefore you can afford applying for bad credit cards, issued, for example, by Orchard bank and First PREMIER bank. Unfortunately, you can hardly find a credit card with bad credit history demanding no fees. If you want to apply for a no fee credit card, you should first of all, improve your credit score. Pick up appropriate bad credit card, make your payments timely and your credit rating will increase, enabling you to apply for cards with more favorable terms, including no fee option. One more decision you could choose, if you don`t want to pay fees, is to select on of pre-paid credit cards, for example, Wired Plastic Prepaid Visa or All-Access Visa Prepaid Card. |
